 Title: Sadness
There is nobody on this canvas. Someone I loved is gone forever, without any previous notice, any warning, and I had no time to prepare myself. There will not be any answers to my questions anymore, no acute comments on my work anymore. The abyss of this absence is open wide, leaving me on the sideway. In the silence of the world around me, a deep wound lies. The sadness has overwhelmed things, landscapes, colors of my inner world. In this small painting, Marne river bank by a rainy day, you will find echoes of charming site under the sun. day. The falling leaves, the trees that hardly move, the shy colors of the flowers, the muddy path that vanishes awat : sadness is there.But the clouds will pass away, the light will again be reflected on the waters. I will find the answers, because he will be able to give them again to me. He is still there, in the thickness of time, embodied in my painting. There is nobody on this canvas. There is my father.
