What did you think of your flat in Paris ? Here are your comments !
Dear Jacques,
It took us a while to "land" from a dream-like vacation in Paris, and it is my pleasure to tell you, and share it with other people, that a big part of what made it so good was the apartment on rue Lacepede.
After we had concluded our "deal" via the internet, I decided to adopt an adventurous attitude, sort of "que sera, sera". Eventually, the reality exceeded the expectations: the location was perfect (better than seemed on the map), the apartment well furnished (with your handsome paintings - what a nice touch), bright, comfortable, very clean and so well equipped with everything one could think of, down to the clothes-pins and the lettuce-dryer. Had I known I would find there a handful of Paris-guides and a small library, I wouldn't have brought my two heavy guides and reading material.
All in all - a pleasure, and certainly a place to come back to, hopefully soon.
Thank you for everything, regards to your family and all the best
Ya'el Malkiel
Bonjour Jacques,
I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what a wonderful time we had in Paris and how impressed we were with the apartment on Rue Laepede. The apartment was exceptionally clean and perfectly located. The near-by shops; local Market and Metro at Place Monge and the cafes at Place Contrecarpe were so convenient they quickly became part of our daily routines. The apartment, the neighbourhood and of course the natural charm of Paris made for an excellent first visit for my daughter...certainly not her last!
Thanks again for your hospitality and for having such a great apartment for us to rent.
Susan and Leigh Adams
Dear Jacques
Just a short note to thank you for the use of the apartment during our stay in Paris - we had a wonderful time and were very very happy with the apartment - it is in a fantastic location, and had everything that we could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. We will not hesitate to recommend your properties to any friends or colleagues who will be travelling to Paris and seeking accommodation.
Many thanks
Jo, Andrew and Matilda
Hello Jacques,
Thank you for a very enjoyable 12 days in Paris. Your apartment is very well located for visiting various parts of Paris by bus, by metro or just by walking. We also enjoyed the proximity to bakeries, chocolate shops, grocery shops, restaurants and the children's playground at the Arène de Lutèce.Your apartment is very well supplied with all the essentials for a short term stay. Everything we needed was right there including many things that I did not expect such as Paris guidebooks and maps, and U.S. electrical plug adapters.
Regards,
Meenakshi and Vikram Biyani.
Dearest Jacques

Dear Jacques
I'm delighted to write something for your "guest book." For anyone who's lucky enough to "stumble upon" this website, consider yourself blessed. I just returned from ten day stay in Paris and all I can say is:
1.) Go in December -- Paris is fabulous, uncrowned -- and if you go to the Louvre on a Wednesday night, you'll have it yourselves, just like we did! -- and
2.) Stay in one of Jacques' clean, well lit, lovely apartments.
My sister and I stayed in the "blue and yellow" one, done in early IKEA, and we could not have been more "comfortable." The kitchen is NY City small but well equipped. I remember thinking, "Gee, I need a pair scissors," I looked up and Voila! There they were.
The location is perfect. It's within walking distance of Notre Dame, the Sorbonne and all points interesting! There's a open air market that's around the corner three days a week, so save your money and buy your food there. Because at least right now, the "exchange rate" made eating out so expensive, and the food we were able to buy from the "grocers," was simply scrumptious. Don't miss the chocolate, orange honey cake there, or the adorable guy who sells it. Also, forget about using your high school or college French, because almost everyone speaks English. Astounding.
Hope you fall in love with Paris.. and stay in one of Jacque's apartments. He's also an amazing artist, and I'm saving up my pennies and dimes to buy his beautiful painting off the wall!

Hey Jacques!
James and I wanted to say thanks a lot for all your help. The apartment was just perfect for us. We loved the location, the Sunday's markets, the proximity to the metro station and the safety of the area. We also loved to be so close to nice restaurants and little stores. I am sure that if we decide to go back to Paris for vacations we will definetely contact you again. We enjoyed our vacations very much. Even the weather was cold at times, walking around Paris was like walking on a history/art book. It was so interesting and beautifull....we will never forget the time we spent there. We are telling all of our friends to consider your apartment seriously when planning a trip there. Having your own privacy, space and kitchen makes such a big difference.
We hope this year is great for you and your wife and we will keep in touch Best regards,
Odessa and James
Hi Jacques,
I wanted to let you know we really enjoyed staying in your studio apartment. It is a very charming place and you have decorated it well. We appreciated the extra amneities-iron, hair dryer, coffee, etc. We hope to stay again the next time we visit Paris.
Take care,
Tammie
Dear Jacques,
I am now back in the stresses of working and sometimes stop and think about how much we enjoyed our stay at your flat in Paris. It was truly an important part of the holiday. This trip was to honor my daughter
who is getting married next month. A last "mother-daughter" fling. We tried to be careful with your things and enjoyed using them. The mostly blue color scheme is good ! We also enjoyed your paintings.
Sincerely,
Martha Karson
I wanted a well appointed apartment, in a great location for a reasonable price. Fortunately I found the Seguin's website. They provided references, photos, a list of amenities, and promptly answered all questions. I have since been in all of their Paris apartments. Each is exactly as represented on the website. Nowhere in Paris will you find a better location or apartment for the money. I have rented from the Seguin's four times. Everything needed to support life is within a block....bakeries, groceries, taxis, metro, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, etc. Jacques is the best landlord in Paris, and the fairest. I recommend him without reservation.

The studio and your hospitality could not have been more perfect. Please do not hesitate to use me as a reference. I hope to visit Paris again soon, and will definitely contact you for accommodations.
Sincerely,

Hi Jacques, we just wanted to say "hi" to you after our visit to Paris......we really enjoyed our stay in the nice spring weather and the studio was VERY nice and perfectly located - we will surely recommend it to others (which we have already done!).
Best regards,
Michael and Jette
Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding during this difficult time. We had a good time in Paris, and we really liked your flat. We are already telling our family and friends about your place. The next time we plan to come to Paris we will definitely contact you before we come to see about renting the flat again. If you are ever in San Francisco, please don't hesitate to call or email us as we would be pleased to show you around the city.
Take care,
Mike, Mei, and Makenna
You found the best landlord in all of Paris. Jacques and His wife came by one while we rented the rear apartment and jacques and his children came by once while we were renting the front apartment. If Anne and I make it to Paris again I really hope we are able to rent either apartment again. It made our trip to europe!!! We really enjoyed paris, but the best part was 'being a part of normal paris life" renting an apartment in a great neighborhood and being able to live normally, shop in the local area, eat what we wanted, get fresh vegetables, meat, cheese, etc within 1/2 block of the apartment.I guess what I'm trying to tell you..........If the apartment is available, rent it!!!, you can't go wrong. Best wishes and 'bon chance' on your trip to paris.

Nathalie and jacques have the most beautiful flats in the quartier latin's nicest area. The service is great and the flats brand new restored and are very well kept. Most important : they are the most cleanest and maximum equipped. Interior design is very pleasant as well as the views and the house is very quiet indeed. We chose the apartments for our business trips to Paris which is uncomparable better than to stay in a hotel. There are excellent bakeries, a beautiful food market and shops around as well as interesting cafes and restaurants. To stay in these apartments is like living in Paris, even if it's only for a short time. We are always looking forward to coming back every season.
Alice
Our stay in Paris was nicely crowned every day by our return to your Lacépède street apartment, which we found warm and homey. The view from the balcony was so exquisite that the whole of Paris seemed represented in that
single street. All the services in the apartment, and even the grocery stores near the building were all so convenient and adequate for a couple of tourists in the romantic, historic France, that we felt literally at home.Maybe the most important thing of all, we were charmed by our landlord's friendliness. We would with great pleasure go back to Paris, not only for the city's magnetic attraction but also for the beauty of that corner where we lived for three weeks which felt like home.

Hi Jacques,
I want to thank you for such a lovely experience staying in your flat. The location, the quiet, the ease of walking to everything.
We loved it!
My daughter loved the cartoons in French as well.
We will see you again I'm sure. You are such a gracious host.

Dear Jacques,
What can I say other than thank you for enabling us to really get to know and love Paris. Your apartment is perfectly situated for us as a family. We were able to really take part in Parisian lifestyle and as a family that is very important to us. Fresh croissants and bagettes every morning for breakfast from the corner boulangerie, fresh salads and fruit from the market at Monge Place or Mouffetard three times a week and beautiful meat from the butchers down the street, not to mention everything else one needs from wine and cheese to milk!
Notre Dame became the girls play ground with nightly strolls! I managed to know where we were above ground and Andy managed to know where we were below ground as the Metro is so close and accessable! Everyone was helpful, friendly and kind!
Warmest Regards
Caroline, Andrew, Andrea and Danielle
Hi Jacques and Nathalie,
Eugene and I just wanted to thank you again for the chance to stay in such a AWESOME place. Our friends who we were going to get an apt. with, missed out on the neighborhood and the great view ! They loved it and want to stay there next time they visit. We learned so much about Paris and even cooked in 2 nights. We can't thank you enough for the chance to "take in" Paris with the ability to have a home base. The restaurant down the block on Monge "Chez Cesar" was very good and the owner was understanding ( we ate there 5 times!! ) . I also found your website, the cottage looks so inviting. We for sure want to stay with you when we come with me family ( my mother is a clean "freak" and what Eugene told me of the hotel our friends stayed in, our apt. was Versailles!) So thanks again,
Shelly and Eugene
About our Vincennes flat ("View of Vincennes")
Dear Jacques and Nathalie
Please accept our thanks for the use of the apartment. We found it extremely comfortable and very convenient for the metro and the shops. We also enjoyed the Vincennes area itself, and managed to make a trip to the zoo on our last day, which the children really enjoyed. All in all, we explored a lot of Paris and were constantly impressed by it. Having a pleasant apartment to relax in at the end of the day made it even better.
Many thanks
Paul Leathley (and Katya, Alexei and Sophie)
Martin had a very nice comment on his stay in the Bois de Vincennes flat. You can have a look at his website !
Hi Jacques,
We had a great time in Paris over Easter. Your appartment worked out extremely well, was very pretty and well equiped.
We also enjoyed being in Vincennes and found it a friendly neighbourhood and very handy to the centre of Paris.
On my web page www.martindwyer.com
I do an occasional blog under "words". If you are interested you will find an account of our easter holiday there entitled "The last time I saw Paris"
again many thanks
